Job Responsibilities

  • Visionary leadership and development of children’s ministry (infant through 8th grade) and youth ministries (9th through 12th grade) for a multicultural, multi-socioeconomic church with currently 25 children and three high school aged youth.
  • Teach and pastor children into the knowledge and discipleship of Jesus Christ as Lord
  • Recruit, assess, develop, train, pastor and schedule volunteer teachers, leaders, and workers
  • Create and sustain a culture, policies, and protocols that promote both the safety of our church and families and the risks that are needed for them to stretch and grow as followers of Jesus.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with the parents of our children
  • Develop systems and ministry experiments and initiatives that seek to educate the whole child from infancy through high school
  • Develop high school youth Bible Study for Peace Fellowship teens
  •  Review and assess current curriculum with an eye toward developing our children in a multicultural and multi-socioeconomic context.
  • Partner with church volunteers to plan and execute Harvest Fest, EasterFest, and Summer FilmFest Outreach
  • Establish a weekly ministry partnership between high school students at IDEA Academy and Peace Fellowship Church on Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:30 with the possibility of expanding to other youth combining both enrichment activities and opportunities to share the gospel of Christ.

Qualifications

  • A spiritually mature Christian who believes in the vision, core values and mission of Peace Fellowship Church
  • Gifted in teaching, leading, and pastoring children
  • A strong pastoral heart for children and youth
  • A self-starter that is a good steward of time, talent and resources with outstanding organizational skills
  • Theological training or education is preferred but not required
  • Qualified under 1 Tim 3: 2-7 to pastoral ministry

Expectations:

  • Pastor will work 15 hours a week
  • Become part of Peace Fellowship Church
  • Communicate openly, regularly, and with tact
  • Regular attendance and participation in adult worship services
  • Attend two staff meetings per month and at least one meeting with Senior Pastor per month
  • Grow daily as a follower of Jesus Christ

Compensation:

$1500 per month, $18,000, with possibility of expansion as ministry grows
