Hi church family,
The pastoral search committee appreciates everyone’s prayers, participation, support, and discernment during Pastor Chin’s candidacy. Thanks especially to all who were able to come to the congregational meeting on Sunday. We realize this is a significant time in the life of the church and we want to encourage anyone with questions, concerns, or just those in need of conversation regarding the pastoral search to contact any of us on the committee. The names of all committee members are at the end of this e-mail.
In addition, because many people were unable to attend last weeks meeting and people have expressed a desire to continue our discussions we would like to gather again for a meeting after church tomorrow (2/2). This is not a formal business meeting but a chance for folks to ask questions, hear more about the senior pastor job description, pastoral search process, selection of candidate, and generally have further discussion.
Update on Voting
In order to give as many people as possible an opportunity to vote we will be having voting on two Sundays, February 16 and 23. We will need to have quorum at both meetings, meaning we will need at least 30 official members to stay after on both Sundays. Even if you voted during the pervious Sunday please consider staying for both in order to assist with getting quorum. Reminder, only active members who have taken the membership class and formally joined the church can vote.
